Lucky Fields is a pasture based poultry farm, run by the Blackmer family, located in Chester VT. We are dedicated to raising high quality pastured poultry using regenerative practices.

Knowing Willie, I’m pretty sure he isn’t talking about lettuce… 🥬 but we are so excited anyway for this “so green, so clean” we have been there since it was a seed homegrown salad with our own grilled chicken, a few dried apricots, some @sugarbobsfinestkind maple spiced pecans and a homemade ranch dressing. Cottage cheese, a dollop of mayo and all the ranch herbs blended with a little cream. It was so tasty and sooo much better than that store bought stuff. It’s grilling season and we were so ready with our almost fully homegrown dinner. (And so early in the season! THIGHS ARE BACK BABY!!!!! We finally made enough room in the freezers to take the trip up to our freezer warehouse and get a pallet out. We grabbed our last box of thighs and last box of legs along with plenty of breasts for grilling season and a few last packages of backs for those of you who love their broth all year round! Come by the @norwich.farmers.market to grab yours this Saturday from 10-1. YUM YUM YUM!!!! This may not seem like a chicken recipe…. But it is! We made this pizza using ground chicken for the crust and I have to admit. I have SKEPTICAL! But OMG IT WAS SO GOOD! We’re out of ground chicken right now but it will be back in stock as soon as we can get it. For now, all you ambitious chefs out there can use a whole chicken and a meat grinder to make this delicious dinner.
