Lucky Fields is a pasture based poultry farm, run by the Blackmer family, located in Chester VT. We are dedicated to raising high quality pastured poultry using regenerative practices.

THE LADIES HAVE ARRIVED!!! And we can officially announce Rosie’s Roost! Rosie’s new egg enterprise. Bob and I were out until midnight last night picking up these ladies and settling them into their new home. Rosie and I went out this morning to introduce ourselves and offer some yummy green hay while we dream of green grass growing. These girls will spend the next few weeks getting settled and learning how to forage in their new pasture home before beginning to lay their fresh, organic fed, pasture raised eggs. What a crazy busy week!!!!! Chicken house building, greenhouse work, projects with friends! This chicken house is finally ready for our ladies to come on Wednesday evening. Sheet pan chicken thighs with hot Italian sausage, broccoli and red onion, drizzle with olive oil and your favorite spices and bake until cooked through! YUM!

Chef Rosie is at it again! She measured,mixed and decorated this beauty for Nini’s birthday celebration yesterday! We’re gearing up for a great season ahead and will take any opportunity to celebrate so thanks Nini for sticking around this zoo for another year so we get to eat cake and enjoy your day.
